This Vancouver-based company designs and builds high-quality furniture for the workplace and home. Craig Pearce was one of my first clients in 2009, since then we’ve undergone four website iterations together as his business has evolved in the most remarkable ways.

My initial approach for content strategy and development was to tell his story and build brand awareness organically through SEO. With the second website, I focussed on creating quality content of value to UWC’s audience. Six years later, these blog posts are still pulling in high volumes of traffic.

In the past few years our content strategy objectives have shifted to focus on better product content, ultimately helping drive sales.

Although the website has evolved since its launch, the initial graphic design was by Paperclip Creative. We’re continually refining the user experience of the website based upon results.

Part of the initial content strategy was to develop lifestyle-oriented blog posts that didn’t focus on selling product. I researched topics that would be of value to their audience and one of the most popular posts turned out to be, “The Best Way to Stack Firewood” (pictured above). Since it was published in 2015, it has had almost 30,000 sessions, 95% of which are found through organic search. This strategy truly boosted their online visibility in North America and beyond. A great example of the power of SEO!
